After much anticipation and planning, we are so happy to have Winda Winowatan, Executive Director of Yayasan Compassion First Indonesia, visiting our headquarters for the month! She brings greetings from our field staff in Indonesia to all of you. “They say ‘thank you for your support and care for the girls, the survivors that we have the privilege to serve, and for the many others who are still unreached’”.
Winda has a full schedule, traveling around the country as she meets with donors and pastors that support the work of CF. She will also be speaking at a number of upcoming CF events, including our 2015 Washington banquets this weekend and our PDX Fellowship Gathering on May 17. Please join us so you can meet Winda!
While Winda is away, life at Sarah’s House continues to be energetic and exciting for the girls and staff alike. Recently, the residents had the opportunity to visit a beautiful waterfall in North Sulawesi for a day of rest and relaxation. They also went on a second outing this month to serve their community by preparing care packages and food distribute to some of the less fortunate families. We believe our outreaches have meaningful impact for all involved. The girls at Sarah’s House never cease to impress and encourage us with their love, care, and heart for each other and for those around them.
This week brings year-end school exams, tours of local Universities, preparations for court, training of new staff, goodbyes to departing staff, fun, fitness, crafts, counseling and doing life together with some brave and courageous young women that are learning to dream and accomplish things they thought they never could.
