Rise Up! was the theme that carried our From Numbers to Names Portland Banquet this year, and it was a wonderful event.

We want to give special thanks to Sgt. Mike Geiger and to Dr. Dean Moshofsky for their presentations and for their continued work in service to Compassion First. They brought reports that not only outlined their personal experiences working with Compassion First, but also told the story of amazing progress so far in 2012. Much of that progress is due to the work of their own hands. Thank you Mike and Dean.

We also owe a big THANKS to our presenting sponsors Whitaker/Ellis for making our event happen for the past 4 years, and to Cornerstone Chiropractic for a generous match contributing to our total. Another special thanks goes out to the great people in the Portland Police Bureau. You have been a very special support to us as we have been able to encourage local law enforcement in Indonesia to “Rise Up!”

With your help, we raised nearly $175.000. While our growing needs have staff and volunteers working hard to raise the necessary funds, the banquet contributions were a great encouragement to us as an organization.
