Compassion First (CF) is a non-profit Christian relief agency that is committed to bringing hope, healing, and restoration to the world’s most vulnerable. Our desire is to see those in deep need discover freedom. Through volunteer efforts and strategic partnerships CF provides sustainable answers for the lives of orphans, the elderly, and the widowed – ultimately providing long-term hope filled solutions to situations of human disaster.

Spotlight: From Numbers to Names

Slavery isn’t just a historical fact; it’s a present reality. Sadly, to some in this world, their freedom is just a dream. The numbers are simply overwhelming and the issue is far greater than the numbers can even describe; but when we realize that all of the numbers have names, we are all moved to help.

Human trafficking is the buying, selling, and transit of persons for benefit or profit. Victims of human trafficking are harvested daily from dire situations of social, political, and economic vulnerability. While woman and children are most susceptible to being sexually trafficked, millions of individuals are at risk. Today twenty-seven million slaves exist in the world (Balston, Not for Sale) and with this number rapidly rising, this desperate and difficult situation begs our immediate attention.

Current CF projects are focused on opening transitional centers in underserved regions of Indonesia and Southeast Asia. These centers give victims access to housing, medical/dental care, counseling, mentorship and education to the fullest level of each victim’s abilities and dreams. CF also integrates victims into qualified families and communities that help promote sustainability and provides persistent follow-up for individuals in need.
